I watched in the news the first US FACE TRANSPLANT in US.

The recipient of the first US almost-total face transplant has appeared before the media for the first time.

Connie Culp, a 46-year-old mother-of-two was left without the middle section of her face after her husband shot her in 2004.

Ms Culp, whose identity had been previously withheld, paid tribute to the donor family at a news conference.

Surgeons at a clinic in a Cleveland, Ohio, replaced 80% of Ms Culp’s face with that of a dead female donor.

“I guess I’m the one you came to see today, ” she told reporters but added that “I think it’s more important that you focus on the donor family that made it so I could have this person’s face.”

The transplant is only the fourth to be carried out. Two operations have been conducted in France and one in China.

The United States Government has reported 141 laboratory confirmed human cases, including one death. Mexico has reported 156 confirmed human cases of infection, including nine deaths.

The following countries have reported laboratory confirmed cases with no deaths - Austria (1), Canada (34), China, Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region (1), Denmark (1), Germany (4), Israel (2), Netherlands (1), New Zealand (4), Spain (13), Switzerland (1) and the United Kingdom (8).

Nuts are toxic to dogs! (again.. nuts are toxic to dogs).

Yes, there’s a medical research saying that Nuts if eaten by Dogs will cause the pets to be toxicated and possibly dead. Sometimes you may have heard that Chocolate is bad for Dogs, but it’s not true. It could be that because there’s a nut inside that chocolate that is toxic for the Dog. Macadamia nuts are poisonous to dogs. When dogs eat them they can get a toxic reaction called macadamia nut toxicosis. (more…)

Nuts can kill your Dog

Just recently, we spent our weekend on a water getaway (swimming trip). On a Saturday noon, July 5, me and my girlfriend went to Subic - White Rock and then a day after that, Sunday, we went to Norzagaray River in Bakas together with my Sister’s family. Then probably next weekend we will be in Boracay as my Birthday gift for myself ;-). My Macho body is getting more exposure to the public (lol) and I think it’s time to tune it a little bit. Now, I’ve been searching in Utube for a good abs workout that I can follow. Hopefully in 6-8 weeks time I will have good abs.

Abs workout

Last week, I felt something (bad) in my heart… The feeling was like something was pinching my heart. I already felt this before when I was a kid but I was not bothered then because when it happened, I was in a bad position lying down in bed. It seemed to me that there was air that got stuck in my heart. And it disappeared by itself when I stood up and relaxed. But last week, I felt the same way.. But, that time, I was not lying in bed and so it bothered me a lot. When I inhaled hard, I felt something pinching my heart. But good thing it disappeared after awhile. But it’s still bothering me. So I decided to take care of my heart from now on. I will take exercise (will try regularly) and will eat balanced food, will lessen eating food with lots of Carbs..
